Website Introduction

Words in the Word

This website consists of Key words and topical subject matter in the Greatest Book ever, the Book of Truth, Gods timeless Word.

There are descriptions and explanations about key words and there meanings (referencing scriptures) which are derived by thousands of hours of studying the scriptures and asking for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

The author takes no credit by leaning on his own reasoning or understanding attempting to impress others. He gives all credit and wisdom to the Lord our God and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is our technical, reference, instructions, and operators manual for life here on earth.

This website is God inspired and a tool for all people.

Proverbs 30;5
“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him."

The purpose of this website is for reference and quick access to specific key words and descriptions in the Bible scriptures. It was designed for interpretation, studying and teaching for Pastors, Teachers, and Bible study groups, etc., to quickly access information on a particular key word or subject matter.

Various versions of the Bible were used to gather scriptures because, as you know,  various key words are used in some Bible versions. I.E. other words or a word are used which have similar meaning.
Examples:

Romans 2:7 (RSV)
to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
Romans 2:7 (NASB)
to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life.
__________

Joshua 1:9 (NET Bible)
I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the Lord your God, am with you in all you do.

Joshua 1:9 (NASB)
9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

____________

On the website all you do is click on a word in the right column (in yellow) and it pops up information and scriptures that pertain to that key word.

Most verses referred to on this website are just one verse with that key word to keep the number of total words down on the website. As you know, this can be identified as context selection and we should always read a couple of verses before and after that specific verse that is referenced.

This detailed information and scriptures where compiled in a website instead of in a book are for a few different reasons;
  • A book is written in concrete, once it’s written nothing can be edited, added, changed or corrected.
  • Books, websites, etc are usually written in one type font, one size font and black letters which can be mo monotonous and one dimensional.
  • This website is in different fonts, larger font sizes and colors for clarification, and easier reading.

Because of the vast complexity of the Bible and all the various versions of the Bible there is more to be added in the construction of this website so it will be continually updated.

In all humility the author spends 3 to 4 hours a day studying the Bible he does not claim to be an expert on the Scriptures and does not attempt to prove he knows more than others.

The Bible is the Book of Truth and the Living Word of God.

_______________
The scriptures below explain how the Bible was written.
The books of the Bible were not written by men and their understanding.
Even though there are many authors who wrote the scriptures, they were guided and given wisdom by the Holy Spirit on what to write therefore the Bible was written by God.

Galatians 1:11-12
11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.  12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught itbut it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ

2 Peter 1:20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,
21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will,
but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

1 Thessalonians 1:5-6
5 In that our gospel did not come to you merely in words, but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. 6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Paul’s Reliance upon the Spirit
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

________

Dear Lord,
Open my eyes and open my ears,
don't let me be blind to other mans tears,
thank you for teaching me the way
you want me to be,
help me to shine, help me to see,
help me to serve others, it's what I must be.
I spread your Word and give what I can,
for you've blessed me to serve my fellow man,
I'm only one grain of salt in the sea,
I have a job, that's what matters to me....

dedicated to serving others in Jesus name.
