Biblical Inerrancy
Infallibility
First of all we must understand the Bible was not written by men. Many people believe the individual authors of the books of the Bible were written by those individuals and their understandings.
Those authors were guided and influenced by the Holy Spirit on what to write, therefore God was the actual author of the scriptures, that is why they are infallible.
Here is what Paul stated;
Galatians 1;11-12
11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1;20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,
21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will,
but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
2 Timothy 3;16-17
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
1 Thessalonians 1;5-6
5 In that our gospel did not come to you merely in words, but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. 6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.
1 Corinthians 2;1-5
Paul’s Reliance upon the Spirit
1 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
Biblical inerrancy is the belief that the Bible is without error, or infallibility.
God wrote the Bible, His Word.
