Departing
from the faith, walking away from the truth of God.
Hardening
of the heart.
Apostasy,
the ultimate sin.
We
must be cautious and fight off doubt, we must possess strong faith and trust in
the Lord our God.
We
are warned in the scriptures written by God.
We
must be dedicated to God!
Deceitful
diversions
Doubt
Walking
away from the truth
Who
is the influence behind this?
It
is so said In the last days many will turn away from their faith of God. They
will listen to their own conscience, reasoning, and understanding along with
the ideas and thoughts of false prophets of today.
Instead
of studying the Bible by asking for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit
men will be deceived.
Confusion
runs rampant, look at all the various versions of the Bible, the thousands of
books and commentaries written about the Bible, the YouTube experts.
Many
turn away from the truth without even knowing it. Their sub-conscience is seared
with a branding iron.
We
must stay tuned up and not rust, we must be well oiled and polished with a coat
an armor of protection. We must be well oiled with a thick coating of faith.
How
do we do this?
There
is deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons today!
Who
is behind this?
Who
is happy about this?
There
is hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience today!
Nothing
is to be rejected by God!
In
this day and age many things in the scriptures are rejected.
People
select certain scriptures and reject others with the excuse that they don’t
pertain to today’s world.
God,
the Holy Spirit wrote the scriptures!
They
pertain to today’s world just as they did 3000 years ago.

Timothy 4;1-5
Apostasy
1
But the
Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith,
paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by
means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a
branding iron, 3 men who forbid marriage and advocate
abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those
who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is
good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; 5 for
it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

Dealing
with False Teachers
14 Remind people of these things
and solemnly charge them before the Lord not to wrangle over words. This is of
no benefit; it just brings ruin on those who listen. 15 Make every
effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to
be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately. 16 But avoid
profane chatter, because those occupied with it will stray further and further
into ungodliness, 17 and their message will spread its infection
like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are in this group. 18 They
have strayed from the truth by saying that the resurrection has already
occurred, and they are undermining some people’s faith. 19 However,
God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: “The Lord
knows those who are his,” and “Everyone who confesses the name of the
Lord must turn away from evil.”
20 Now in a wealthy home there
are not only gold and silver vessels, but also ones made of wood and of clay,
and some are for honorable use, but others for ignoble use. 21 So
if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable
use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 But
keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love,
and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 23 But
reject foolish and ignorant controversies, because you know they breed
infighting. 24 And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated
disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient, 25 correcting
opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then
knowledge of the truth 26 and they will come to their senses and
escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive to do his will.

Ministry
in the Last Days
1
But
understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For
people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving,
irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is
good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather
than loving God. 5 They will maintain the outward appearance of
religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these. 6 For
some of these insinuate themselves into households and captivate weak women who
are overwhelmed with sins and led along by various passions. 7 Such
women are always seeking instruction, yet never able to arrive at a knowledge
of the truth. 8 And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so
these people—who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith - also
oppose the truth. 9 But they will not go much further, for their
foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and
Jambres.

in What You Have Learned
10 You, however, have followed
my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my
endurance, 11 as well as the persecutions and sufferings that
happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these
persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all. 12 Now in
fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But
evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being
deceived themselves. 14 You, however, must continue in the things
you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you 15 and
how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you
wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 Every
scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for
correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the person
dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.
