Disciples
Discipleship
What is a disciple?
One who’s life is dedicated to the Lord.
One who lives by and spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ
to others, therefore they are a disciple.
In Christianity a disciple is a dedicated follower of Jesus.
One who does what Jesus does, serving others in Jesus name.
It's so important that we constantly pray and ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit so we don't lean on our own understanding and reasoning.
We receive discernment from the Holy Spirit, not from our reasoning.
The enemy wants us to lean on our own understanding.
We must have strong faith with works and continually grow in sanctification and righteousness throughout our lives here on earth.
We all have different gifts and works that the Lord our God gives us when we ask.
We are to love all others.
God wants us to shine for Him and show love, mercy, patience, humility, with holiness to all others.
We must follow Gods commandments, precepts, and exhortations.
We must put Jesus first in all that we
do.
One who is of the original 12 Disciples that walked with Jesus, they were also the 12 Apostles.
